Great Lenten Fast This Week
This week, we continue the fast for Great Lent with a fast from meat, dairy, fish, wine & oil Monday through Friday, with wine & oil permitted Saturday & Sunday. On March 25th, we fast from meat & dairy, with fish, wine & oil permitted in honor of the Annunciation.

On this, the 30th day of the month of March, we commemorate the 3rd Sunday of Lent, the Veneration of the Holy Cross; the Venerable John Climacus of Sinai, Author of “The Ladder,” Saint Sophronius the Bishop of Irkutsk (18th century); the Prophet Joad; the Apostles Sosthenes, Apollos, Cephas, Caesar, and Epaphroditus of the Seventy; Saint Euboula the Mother of Saint Panteleimon (3rd century); the Venerable John the Silent of Saint Sava’s Monastery (6th century); and Saint Zosimus the Bishop of Syracuse (7th century). Through their holy intercessions, Christ our God, have mercy on us and save us. Amen!
