Resurrectional Apolytikion Plagal of the Second Tone
When the angelic powers appeared at your tomb and those who guarded You became as though dead, and standing by Your sepulchre was Mary seeking Your pure and sacred body. For You did vanquish Hades and uncorrupted by its touch You came unto the virgin woman, bestowing the gift of life O You who rose from the dead. Lord we give glory to You.

Apolytikion for 6th Thursday after Pascha/Ascension
You have ascended in glory, O Christ our God, and gladdened Your disciples with the promise of the Holy Spirit; and they were assured by the blessing that You are the Son of God and Redeemer of the world.

Apolytikion for Fathers of the 1st Council
Most glorified are You, O Christ our God, Who has established our Fathers as luminous stars upon the earth, and through them guided us all to the true Faith. O most merciful One, glory be to You.

Kontakion
When You had fulfilled Your dispensation for our sakes, uniting things on earth with the Heavens, You ascended in glory, O Christ our God, departing not hence, but remaining insep’rable from us and crying unto them that love You: I am with you, and no one can be against you.

For there is One God, and One Mediator between God and Man, the Man Christ Jesus. For He still pleads even now as  ...Read Full Text >

Update
Things are moving along for the start of our new church building. We can expect to have our plans finished by mid-June.

I regret to report that the “summer slack” has kicked in early this year. Up until recently, we have enjoyed a stewardship surplus, but as of last evening (May 30) we have a deficit of $9,300 and we are just at the start of the more “lean” months of summer. Truly, we are thankful for

A No-Bake Cookie Sale, now through June 14. How does it work? (1) Decide what it would cost you to bake a dozen cookies. For example, cookie dough pre-made from the store = $3.95; time invested @ $8/hr, including going to the store = $12.00; total investment for the dozen cookies = $15.95. (2) Donate the ...Read Full Text >
