Resurrectional Apolytikion Third Tone
Let the heavens sing for joy, and let everything on earth be glad. * For with His Arm the Lord has worked power. * He trampled death under foot by means of death; * and He became the firstborn from the dead. * From the maw of Hades He delivered us; * and He granted the world His great mercy. - Copyright Fr. Apolytikion of the Church
Today is the crown of our salvation, and the manifestation of the eternal Mystery. The Son of God becomes the Son of the Virgin, and Gabriel announces the good tidings of grace. Therefore, all together with him, to the Theotokos let us exclaim: Hail! Maiden full of grace; the Lord is with you.
Kontakion
O God, when You come upon the earth in glory, the whole world will tremble. A river of fire will bring all before Your Judgment Seat and the books will be opened, and everything in secret will become public. At that time, deliver me from the fire which never dies, and enable me to stand by Your right hand, O Judge most just. - Copyright Narthex Press, used by permission. All rights reserved
