Resurrectional Apolytikion Plagal of the First Tone

Let us worship the Word who is unoriginate * with the Father and the Spirit, and from a Virgin was born * for our salvation, O believers, and let us sing His praise. * For in His goodness He was pleased * to ascend the Cross in the flesh, and to undergo death, * and to raise up those who had died, * by His glorious Resurrection.

Apolytikion of the Church

Today is the crown of our salvation, and the manifestation of the eternal Mystery. The Son of God becomes the Son of the Virgin, and Gabriel announces the good tidings of grace. Therefore, all together with him, to the Theotokos let us exclaim: Hail! Maiden full of grace; the Lord is with you.

Kontakion

Even though You descended into the grave, O Immortal One, You destroyed the power of Hades and arose as a victor, O Christ Our God, saying to the myrrh-bearing women, “rejoice” and to Your Apostles granting peace, You who grants resurrection to the fallen.

The Lord`s Prayer
Fr. Christos
" The Lord`s Prayer" or as it is commonly known the "Our Father". Last Sunday I announced that for the next few Sundays a commentary on the Lord`s prayer will be offered in the church. Why? Because, we have not yet learned its value in our lives. Because we need the inner wholeness it can bring. Because we have not done what Jesus told us to do. Because God`s kingdom has not yet come in its ...Read Full Text >
