Resurrectional Apolytikion Third Tone

Let the heavens sing for joy, and let everything on earth be glad. For with His Arm the Lord has worked power. He trampled death under foot by means of death; and He became the firstborn from the dead. From the maw of Hades He delivered us; and He granted the world His great mercy.

Apolytikion of the Church

Today is the crown of our salvation, and the manifestation of the eternal Mystery. The Son of God becomes the Son of the Virgin, and Gabriel announces the good tidings of grace. Therefore, all together with him, to the Theotokos let us exclaim: Hail! Maiden full of grace; the Lord is with you.

A protection of Christians unshamable, intercessor to our Holy Maker, unwavering. Please reject not the prayerful cries of those who are in sin, instead, come to us, for you are good; Your loving help bring unto us, who are crying in faith to you: Hasten to intercede and speed now to supplicate, as a protection for all time, Theotokos, for those who honor you.

For if we, going about on the earth which is familiar and well known to us, being encompassed with a body, when we  ...Read Full Text >

Further down our lesson we mentioned four factors that keep us away from understanding "What is the Church".
The first, it comes from my ignorance. If I`m to be truthful I would say; “when did I bother in a serious manner to learn what is the Church?” Yes, I do know about Archbishops and Priests and all
