NEWS AND UPDATES
HELLENIC SCHOOL: resumes this Friday, January 6.
ROMIOSINI DANCE: practice resumes this Saturday, January 7 at 9:30. Costumes are ready for final fittings, parents and dancers, see Irene Sotiriou to sign the costume release forms.
HOUSE BLESSINGS: Will begin Monday, January 9. Please call the office to make an appointment.
ΗΟPE/JOY: Sunday, January 8 the children will get together for a special Vasilopita activity! Sunday, January 22 the children will discuss “How to please Jesus” and make their New’s Year resolution based on their conversation.
FOREVER YOUNG: will meet on the second Wednesday of the month, January 11 at the church. Bring a Lenten dish and let’s all start the New Year right by attending!
FAMILY WEDNESDAY: On Wednesday, January 18 all families are invited for Family Wednesday Night. Adult Study at 6:00 PM, dinner at 7:00 PM and GOYA resumes as usual.
A sitter will be available for younger children. We look forward to a wonderful evening!
CHOIR PRACTICE: starting this month choir practice will include reading Byzantine notation. If you are interested in learning new musical notation please join Dr. Rallis on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY: The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation is now accepting applications. They will award 20 Grant Awards of $10,000 each to students who apply based on financial needs and 20 Merit Awards of $2,500 each to students that do not apply on the basis of financial need. Applications are available on their website: www.panhellenicscholarships.org. Deadline is January 31, 2012. See flyer on the bulletin board.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY: the 2012 District #3 Scholarship Application is now available. Please note: In order to be considered, completed District Scholarship Applications must be postmarked by April 1, 2012. No exceptions.
