Please help us by informing the church of those who are ill, in the hospital, nursing home, or recuperating at home. Fr. Matthew needs to be informed in order to visit with them. Also, be sure to register in the hospital as Greek Orthodox so that Fr. Matthew may be able to visit you; this is due to the Privacy Laws in force.

Let us remember those who are ill, recovering, and/or homebound: Angelo Angeledes, Connie Batounis, Maria Bucci (mother of Sandra Papanikolaou), Angela Dentiste, Koula Fragos, Harry Fronista, Demitra George, Dan Kirkby (brother of Matthew), Nick Lazaridis, Georgia Macris, Anne Pinkston, Helen Psillias (mother of Renee Theophilos), Marigo Ruch (sister of Renee Theophilos), George P. Saffo (Autumn Care), Tony Spirakis (Autumn Care), Fr. John Stavropoulos and GYSGT Stavros Tsantiles, USMC and his two sons Christopher Tsantiles and Stephanos Tsantiles.

CONGRATULATIONS to Mayor Bill Saffo and family on his reelection as Mayor of the City of Wilmington.

AXIOS to Barnabas Powell on his ordination to the Holy Diaconate today, Sunday, November 8 at the Cathedral in Atlanta.

CONGRATULATIONS to Pantelis Miliotis and Maria Stasios, this year’s recipients of the Archangel Michael Award.

WELCOME to Fr. John Shalhoub who will celebrate our Divine Liturgy today while Fr. Matthew attends the Archangel Michael Awards in Atlanta.

THE ROMIOSINI DANCERS would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed towards the OXI DAY luncheon on November 1st. We hope you enjoyed watching us perform. We were able to raise $1200 from this great luncheon! And we especially would like to thank everyone who helped prepare the wonderful meal and those who made a donation. If anyone would like to make an additional donation towards our expenses at this year's Hellenic Dance Festival (HDF), please mark your check for "St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church" and in the memo state: Romiosini Dancers. We are preparing for HDF which is only a month away. We have choral practices on Sundays immediately after church and then followed by dance practice. We would like to thank Antonia Ioannou, Nota Dukas, Alexandros Theodoropoulos, Dr Michael Rallis and Zaharoula Katsikis for all their time in helping us do our best for this year’s performances, and are honored to represent the St Nicholas community on Jan 15-18th.

INK CARTRIDGE RECYCLING- The JOY/ HOPE is continuing to recycle your old ink cartridges as well as old cell phones. Please drop them off in the collection box located in the Hellenic Center. We just got a check for $64.50! Thank you to everyone who is participating.

PHILOPTOCHOS is collecting various food items to package into food baskets and be given to needy families in our area for Thanksgiving. Along with the packaged foods collected, monetary donations are being accepted to be used for perishable foods (turkey, fruits and vegetables). Please give your monetary donations to a Philoptochos Board Member. If donating by check, in the memo indicate “Thanksgiving Food Drive.”

HELLENIC (GREEK) SCHOOL started on September 18. If you would like to join our Greek school, are interested in teaching or for any other questions contact Alexandros Theodoropoulos at alexandros_a_t@hotmail.com or 910-791-8873.
