SAINT CATHERINE SUPPORTS "COME RECEIVE THE LIGHT - The Nationally Syndicated Radio Program of Orthodox Christianity"
This week's program is titled "Climate changes, pollution and making our world unlivable."
In our final episode on the Apocalypse, Fred Krueger talk about climate changes and other environmental problems that might lead to mankind’s extinction. To learn more, visit http://www.orth-transfiguration.org/. But first, the ancient Mayan Calendar is set to run out this December. Had they figured out when the world would end? Ian O’Neill, a solar physicist who’s the Space Science Producer for Discovery News, is here to help us make some sense of it.
Are you a fan of the Orthodox Christian Network? Then please share our Come Receive the Light page with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, +Google, and Linked In. A world in crisis needs to find its way to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Living our Life, our Life in Christ --
. . When we put our “time” and “talents” to work serving others, we serve Christ. We believe that financial stewardship, “treasure” is also an integral part of our spiritual journey and our relationship with God. We believe that our standard of giving should reflect our standard of living. Our pledge must be both responsible and significant.
. . Saint Paul teaches us in his first letter to the church in Corinth (16:2), “On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside...” This is the best way to accomplish our stewardship to our church. We also must remember that we practice this support throughout the year. Our stewardship of time, talent and treasure is an integral part of our spiritual journey and our relationship with God.

Visit the Philoptochos Tsourekia and More table in the Small Hall of our Hellenic Cultural Center during the Coffee and Fellowship hour after the Divine Liturgy. Beautiful Orthodox cards are now available.
Philoptochos is collecting non perishable items for the needy in our area. Please bring your donations and place them on the table in the Small Hall. Those who have no kitchen to cook in appreciate cans with pull tabs instead of needing a can opener. Thank you in advance for helping to feed those less fortunate.
