Resurrectional Apolytikion Grave Tone
O Lord by Your sacred Cross You abolished death, and granted unto the thief blessed paradise. The Myrrh-bearers ceased lamenting and turned to joy. The apostles did preach the Good News at Your command, that You had risen from the dead O Christ Our God, bestowing Your mercy upon the world ever more. - Translation from Green Hymnal

Apolytikion for Afterfeast of the Transfiguration of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
You were transfigured upon the mountain, O Christ our God, showing to Your disciples Your glory as much as they could bear. Do also in us, sinners though we be, shine Your everlasting light, through the intercessions of the Theotokos, O Giver of light. Glory to You. -Translation by Fr. Seraphim Dedes

Apolytikion of the Church
Your Birth o Theotokos, brought joy to the whole world. For from you rose the Sun of Righteousness, Christ our God. He canceled the curse and poured forth His grace: He vanquished death and granted us eternal life.

Kontakion
You were transfigured on the mountain, O Christ our God, showing Your disciples as much of Your glory as they could bear, so that when they see you crucified they will know that You suffer freely and they will tell all the world that You are truly the radiance of the Father. (translation by Kevin Lawrence)

And another thing too we learn, the self-restraint of the disciples which they practised in necessary things, and  ...Read Full Text >
