HOLY TUESDAY PASTORAL VISIT His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios, our spiritual father and Hierarch of our Atlanta Metropolis will be visiting our Parish on Holy Tuesday Evening for the Bridegroom Service and the special Hymn of the Nun Kassiane. We look forward to having His Eminence visit us during this sacred time.

HOLY WEEK IS COMING We all know the amazing spiritual rewards that Holy Week offers us in our Orthodox Tradition. We begin with the Saturday of Lazarus, April 11, Orthros and Divine Liturgy, 8:30 – 11 AM, strengthening ourselves through the reception of Holy Communion and enjoying the Breakfast, Palm Making and Rehearsal. Our children offer the Special Holy Week Program at the Palm Sunday evening, Service, April 12 at 6 PM, followed by our Annual Lenten Dinner sponsored by Philoptochos. Plan ahead and make your Holy Week extraordinary.

ANNUAL FAMILY EASTER PICNIC - AGAPE SERVICE & ANNUAL EASTER FAMILY PICNIC – April 19 Tickets are on sale for the Easter Picnic and can be purchased in the Parish Center from a Council member. The donation is $15 for Adults for Lamb, $12 for chicken and $6 for children 12 and under. Please help us avoid running out of your favorite food choices by purchasing your tickets in advance!!!

SCHOLARSHIPS APPLICATIONS Our parish is blessed to offer several Scholarships for full-time college students. Applications are available on the Welcome Table and the deadline for submission is May 1. An application must be complete to be considered.

Our children help us to be immersed in the Passion of our Lord as they offer the Special Holy Week Program at the Palm Sunday evening, Service, April 12 at 6 PM, followed by our Annual Lenten Dinner sponsored by Philoptochos. We also have permission slips to be absent from school for Holy Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

LENTEN SOUPS A few weeks remain during Great Lent to enjoy these tasty soups. All proceeds go to our Parish Building Fund. We thank our Ladies for all their hard work.

5th Annual NAMI Walks for the mind of America On Saturday, May 2, at the Dorothea Dix Campus in Raleigh, the NAMI, will have a Walk to raise awareness and funds. NAMI is nonprofit grassroots organization, which strives to improve the lives of those touched by mental illness through education, outreach and advocacy and by providing a voice and projects for those who cannot speak for themselves. HELP FEED THE HUNGRY LENTEN FOOD COLLECTION Please continue to bring canned goods and non-perishable foods throughout Great Lent. These foods will be distributed to the North Raleigh Ministries Food Bank.

THANK YOU Father George would like to thank the Parish Council for the flowers and all parishioners for their visits, cards and flowers while he was recuperating from pneumonia. Father wishes everyone Καλή Ανάστασι! A Blessed Resurrection!

EPITAPHION FLOWERS & HOLY WEEK OFFERING We depend on the generosity of our parishioners to help offset the cost for all the beautiful flowers we use during Great Lent & Holy Week. If there is anyone who would like to make a donation for the Palms, please call the Church Office. We also pray that everyone will make a Special Easter Offering as a gift to help the many needs of our church in serving the Lord. Thank you to those who have already given.

2nd Annual VARIETY SHOW, “TRIBUTE TO MOMS & DADS” On Saturday, May 16, 6:30 PM, we will have the 2nd Annual Holy Trinity Variety Show. We have chosen to dedicate this second show to mothers & fathers, both living and departed. We will have a special “theatre” style concession stand with hotdogs, popcorn, etc. There is no charge for the show, but we need everyone to participate in offering MESSAGES FOR MOMS & DADS. Full page is $25.00, Half page is $15.00. See the participant form on the Candle Stand.
