TODAY IS NATIONAL AHEPA DAY On National AHEPA Day, we will have a Memorial Service for all departed Ahepa brothers. Today’s Fellowship Coffee Hour sponsored by AHEPA.

ARCHANGEL MICHAEL HONORS Nominations are being accepted for the Archangel Michael Honors Award given to one Adult and one Youth from our parish. Honorees must be Parish members who exemplify the true Orthodox Christian Way of life by their deep faith, commitment, dedication, and service to the Church on their parish level. Forms are available on the Welcome Table. Complete entire form and place nominations in the box. Deadline, June 7.

GREEK FESTIVAL PREP GOES INTO ACTION The first few items to be cooked and assembled for this year’s Greek Festival will take place as scheduled below:

Mon., May 18, 9 AM-1PM: cream sauce for Pastitsio & assembling;

Tues., May 19, 9AM-1PM: cream sauce for Pastitsio & assembling;

Wed., May 20, finish cream sauce if necessary (call church before coming).

Tues., May 26, 10AM-5PM: cut and cook eggplant; Eggplant Night, 5PM-8PM: assemble Moussaka;

Wed., May 27, 9AM-1PM: make cream sauce & assemble and 5PM-8PM: assemble Moussaka;

Thurs., May 28, 9AM-1PM: finish cream sauce, if necessary;

Mon. June 1, Spanakopita, 9 AM – 1 PM and 5PM-8PM;

Tues., June 2, Spanakopita, 9 AM-1PM and 5PM-8PM.

Please look at the following schedule and help when you are able. Everyone counts, the more people we have, the quicker it goes! So please, do not think someone else will do it.

2009 PLEDGES & OUR FINANCIAL PICTURE We have received 287 2009 Pledges. Everyone was mailed a quarterly statement last week. If you are not receiving a statement, please c all the church office. Some good news, we found an error in our Easter Picnic proceeds and thankfully, our loss was very minimal. We ask our families to be mindful of the church and to do their best in offering their support. Please keep the church also in your prayers.

WEEKDAY FEAST DAY LITURGIES We will celebrate the Feast Day of Sts. Constantine & Helen on Wednesday evening, May 20, Orthros, 5 PM and Divine Liturgy, 6 PM.

On Wednesday, May 27, we will celebrate the Major Feast Day of our Lord’s Ascension, Orthros, 5 PM and Divine Liturgy, 6 PM.

GRILLING & CHILLING “Big Fat Grill Off In the spirit of family fellowship, our Stewardship Ministry Team is offering a Grilling contest and fun day for our entire Parish Family on Sunday, June 7, 5 PM. See the form to enter the grilling contest. If you do not want to enter, everyone can join in just bring a side dish to share, lounge chairs, tents, beverages, etc.

PHILOPTOCHOS YEAR-END PARTY The Philoptochos end-of-year party will take place at Taverna Agora on Sunday, May 31 at 5 p.m. If you haven’t signed up, please contact Roxanne Serletis at 782-7992; email her at serletis@bellsouth.net. Spouses and other family members are, of course, also most welcome!

PARISH COOKBOOK We are putting together a parish recipe book to sell at the Festival to help raise funds for the new Church. We really need every parishioner's input to make this successful. This will be an international cookbook, celebrating the diversity of our Parish. So, if you have recipes that are Greek, Russian, Lebanese, Serbian, Eritrean, American, et al., we really want to represent EVERYONE in our Parish family. So please, dig out some of your favorite family recipes and send them to Jill Stark (jill.stark@gmail.com). The deadline is June 15.

PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION Registration for the 2009/10 school year continues. Our Preschool offers an extraordinary setting with a loving and dedicated staff. Contact the directory Betsy Higgins at 264-4783 for more details.

The Summer Camp (July 13-17), is now being extended to 3-year olds. Registration forms are available on the Candle Stand or see Betsy. It’s a great program, sign your child up today!

NURSERY We are looking for a volunteer to organize our Nursery. Please call Fr. Paul at the Office.

HIGH SCHOOL & COLLEGE GRADUATES We ask all the Graduates to call the office to provide information and to let us know if you will be in church on Graduates Sunday, June 14.
