A 1-year memorial for Despina Tsacalis, beloved mother of William and his wife Marie, Norman and his wife Alexandra, grandmother of Basil, Ernest and his wife Joan, Karen and her husband Michael, Anastasia and her husband Chris, great-grandmother of Despina and Paul, sister of Eftihia Karatzas and sister-in-law of Ruth Bennett.
A 3-year memorial for Eftehia Kolovos and a 33-year for John Kolovos, beloved parents of Margaret, Gus and his wife Eleanor, grandparents of Jimmy, Renee, Effie, John, great-grandparents of Ashley, Justin, Ella Grace and Cassidy Mara.

40-DAY BLESSING – Today, we welcome into the church for the traditional 40-day blessing Julia Grace Seretis, the daughter of Christine and Van.

BIBLE STUDY GROUPS – Our afternoon bible study group will be held tomorrow, June 9th. Our evening Bible Study group will be meeting until Wednesday, June 11th at 7:00PM. All are welcome.

SUNDAY SCHOOL – Sunday School graduation will take place today following Divine Liturgy.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2008 – Children from St. Nicholas are invited to join us this summer –
July 7-11, from 9:00am til noon for our annual summertime VBS. Each day children will take part in fun Bible learning at Bible Blast, team-building at Hyperspeed Games, Sonic Sing Bible songs,
Wacky Works Crafts, Cinema Science and Test Tube Treats at POWER LAB- DISCOVERING JESUS’ MIRACULOUS POWER. So complete your registration form and come join us. Children ages 5-12.

FLEE MARKET – Today, June 8th marks the first Sunday to begin dropping off your Flea Market items. There will be 2 classrooms (near the church kitchen) with signs that read: Church Flea Market-"Drop-Off". Continue to bring in your treasures each Sunday or during the week M-F 9-5pm. PHILOPTOCHOS – Father’s Day is almost here! The St. Nicholas Philoptochos Society invites you to participate in our Father’s Day Community Card. This is the second year that we are compiling a Father’s Day card. The cards will be on sale in the Parish Hall during coffee hour. Please join us to honor the wonderful men in our parish and in our lives. Also don't forget to include your special message in our Father's Day card. Look for information during coffee hour.

CAMP GOOD SHEPHERD – Camp Good Shepherd is an Overnight Summer Camping Program sponsored by the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of NJ. We gather our young people (ages 8-18 as of July 2008) for 1 week of Orthodox Christian fun, faith and fellowship at the Linwood MacDonald Environmental Education and Conference Center in Branchville, NJ During this week we will learn about God and our Orthodox Faith while at the same time having a lot of fun in the sun. Activities will include: swimming, canoeing, hiking, archery, soccer, volleyball, basketball, wall climbing, capture the flag and dodge ball, as well as a ropes course and arts and crafts that will reinforce and a skit night. We promise that it will be a week to remember and a chance to make new friends!
The dates are Sunday, July 6th, 4:00pm thru 12:00pm, Saturday, July 12th, for GOYA and from 4:00pm Sunday, July 20th, thru 12:00pm, Saturday, July 26th, for JOY.
The cost per camper is $375.00 ($50.00) Late Fee after June 15th). This price includes 3 meals/day, evening snacks, room and board, all materials and some surprises! A Camp Store is available for those who wish to purchase additional items and their own.
