GUEST SPEAKER ~ FATHER PETER GILLQUIST.

Father Peter E. Gillquist, Director of the Department of Missions and Evangelism for the Antiochian Orthodox Diocese in Santa Barbara , California, is a former evangelical minister with Campus Crusade for Christ. Twenty years ago, he led the Evangelical Orthodox Church in its mass conversion to The Orthodox Church, a story related in his fascinating book "Becoming Orthodox: A Journey to the Ancient Christian Faith" . He has authored many other excellent books, including, "Love is Now", "The Physical Side of Being Spiritual", "Designed for Holiness" and "Metropolitan Phillip, His Life and His Dreams". Father Peter also served as the project director for the Orthodox Study Bible first published in 1993.

Father Peter will be in Nassau next week . The public is cordially invited to hear him speak on the subjects: "Why We Pray to Mary" and "My Journey through Orthodoxy" on Friday, 9th November, 2007 and Saturday, November 10th, 2007, at 7pm at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, West Street.
