Spiritual Book Discussion: June 2 Abba Dorotheos: Saint Dorotheos of Gaza belongs to the teachers of the desert. He was a spiritual master who grounded his whole existence on the love of God and the obedience of His commandments. He lived in the 6th Century and with his spiritual instructions proved himself to be a personality of exceptional greatness for all ages. His Practical Teaching on the Christian Life, Lessons and Letters, makes him an influential voice in the Christian communities, both monastic and in the world.

The wisdom of Saint Dorotheos has it challenges for today and helps us to learn what unconditional love for God and for each other truly means. This will be a two-part series with four sessions this spring and more in the fall. Next month we will study Saint Dorotheos’ lessons:
Tuesday, June 2: “That we should not judge our neighbor”
Copies of the homilies in both Greek and English are available in the bookstore. Please join us for this discussion series!!!

Girl Scout Gold Award project -extended to June 6 Hello my name is Anna Kalavrezos and I am in Boonton Girl Scout Troop 957. As part of my Girl Scout Gold Award project, I am making 175 towel angels for the seniors in the ACE unit at
St. Clare’s hospital in Denville. I need help getting the supplies to make them. I still need about 75 of each of the following: kitchen washcloths, kitchen dish towels, square pot holders, and I am hoping our St. Andrew’s church community can help by donating items so together we can spread some cheer to the elderly. Please donate items in the box in our church hall by June 6 Thank you!
