The JOY of running the Festival
KIki & Marina, June
Hello fellow parishioners,
The days are flying by, bringing us closer to our Festival. Our two Co-chairs, Steven Mitrakos and George Kalas, are working very hard to make it a wonderful cultural event for all. The festival brings all of the wonderful aspects of our culture together, for us to celebrate and share with our community. Because George, Steven and their "Festival Heads" cannot do it alone, we are reaching out to all of you for your help.
Many of us who have volunteered with the Festival in the past know the energy that fills the room and the satisfaction that fills our hearts. It is our hope that those of us who haven`t been able to volunteer yet, do so this year. We also hope that those of us who volunteered for the first time last year will continue to be a part of our family of volunteers. We got such positive feedback from the veteran volunteers who were moved by all the new faces they saw, and worked side by side with, at our Festival last year. The increase in help was appreciated, and it rejuvenated all of our spirits. We believe both the church as a whole, and each volunteer, benefits so much from the experience!
Please take a moment to look at your schedules, and let us know when and how much of your time you can give. No time is "too little", and every bit helps!!
Please pass on this Email to anyone who we might have left out, and please talk to your family and friends. We can be reached via E-mail, at (Nicky72@optonline.net or Gvenizelos@embarqmail.com) or by calling us at Kiki (973) 229-5884 or Marina (973)726-3267. Please also look out for sign up sheets (posted in the main entrance) by Bessie`s office and feel free to put your name down where you are available to help.
Let`s do our best to share the joy and responsibility of running the Festival together. We greatly appreciate your time and consideration.
