SUMMER COFFEE HOUR
It is our summer tradition that all coffee hour trays will be for the benefit of the Building Fund and we all share the responsibility of bringing food. Please bring a cake, cookies, fruit, etc. to church with you from time to time to add to our coffee hour table. Or, arrange to host a coffee hour by contacting the church office. If we do not have someone host & or sponsor the coffee hour, we will not be able have one on that particular Sunday.
Laying the Foundation for Our Future : Sat.7/26 @9am
Please join the Strategic Planning Meeting Part 2.
Help build a new foundation for St. Andrew without bricks & mortar.
Let’s take the next step in our work with Jerry Minetos and Laura Paulus from the Archdiocese Office of Parish Development. This is our opportunity to share ideas for the future of St. Andrew
What can we do to realize our short and long range goals?
How can we encourage our parishioners to help St. Andrew become a more loving, caring, Christian Community?
How can we better commit ourselves and one another and our whole life to Christ our God?
Saturday, July 26 @ 9am - 3pm
Please come and help determine how we are going to use our talents to benefit St. Andrew.

PREVENT A STROKE WITH PAINLESS AND ACCURATE SCREENINGS - YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER by calling 1-800-324-1851.
Life Line Screening Radiology will offer preventive health screenings at St Andrew Greek Orthodox Church on Tuesday, August 19, 2008.
The screenings offered include a state-of-the-art ultrasound screening of the carotid arteries in the neck (most strokes are linked to plaque build-up in these arteries), an ultrasound screening used to detect abdominal aortic aneurysms (ruptured AAAs have more than a 80% mortality rate and present little or no symptoms), a screening for plaque build-up in the arteries of the legs (a strong indicator of coronary heart disease) and an atrial fibrillation test that screens for an irregular heartbeat.
“Why not just go to my doctor for these tests?” you may ask. The answer, although surprising, is that your insurance companies typically will not pay for these screenings without clear evidence of symptoms. Unfortunately, most people who suffer a stroke or abdominal aneurysm never show any signs that a major medical catastrophe is about to occur.
These painless, non-invasive tests are offered in the convenience of your neighborhood for $139. YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER by calling 1-800-324-1851.
