Holy Unction
According to the directive of our Holy Metropolis of Chicago, the Holy Oil (Euchelaion) will not be distributed to laypersons by any means; neither following the anointing, nor at the conclusion of the service. If there is a need for the anointing of the sick or those unable to attend the service in person due to physical limitations, the clergy will visit those persons by arrangement at an appropriate time.
