Resurrectional Apolytikion Third Tone

Let the heavens sing for joy, and let everything on earth be glad. * For with His Arm the Lord has worked power. * He trampled death under foot by means of death; * and He became the firstborn from the dead. * From the maw of Hades He delivered us; * and He granted the world His great mercy. -Translation by Fr. Seraphim Dedes

Apolytikion of the Church

The truth of your manner of life manifested you to your flock as a rule of faith and an icon of gentleness and a teacher of self-control. By humility, therefore, you acquired the things on high, and riches through poverty. Father Holy Hierarch Nicholas, intercede with Christ our God, entreating that our souls be saved. -Translation by Fr. Seraphim Dedes

Kontakion
O Protection of Christians that cannot be put to shame, mediation unto the creator most constant: O despise not the voices of those who have sinned; but be quick, O good one, to come unto our aid, who in faith cry unto thee: Hasten to intercession and speed thou to make supplication, O thou who dost ever protect, O Theotokos, them that honor thee. - Translation by Holy Transfiguration Monastery

Dear Parishioners of St. Nicholas,

I am pleased to announce to you that our Parish will be hosting the Metropolis Vacation Church School this year!

This faith based day camp will be held for the first time off the Metropolis grounds and our Parish of St. Nicholas is the host!!! VCS is for ages 4-12 and will run from 9:30AM:30PM, August 3- August 7. The children begin their day with a short prayer service followed by sessions which include Orthodox Life, music, indoor and outdoor activities, and fine arts. It is a great opportunity for children to learn more about their faith and establish a closer relationship with Christ while having fun.

This year the theme will be "Brave Believers: The Saints of our Church." Please note that there is no set fee for your child to attend this program, however free-will donations are greatly appreciated.

If you would like more information about
