Appeal for Holy Cross Theological School October 18, 2013
St. Luke the Evangelist

Beloved Brethren in Christ our God:

Our Holy Cross Theological School in Brookline, Massachusetts is celebrating 75 years of preparing priests and religious educators for service in our Lord`s Holy Church. All of the parishes of our Metropolis of San Francisco have been asked to raise funds for our Holy Cross Theological School in observance of this anniversary. The goal for each parish is $1,000.

I know that the economic atmosphere of our times is stifling and that there are so many needs that we must address for our families and for our St. George parish - and certainly I understand if you are among those who simply may not want to donate for this cause (perhaps having made commitments for other worthy causes), or who simply just can`t give at this time.

If, however, you feel that you can find your way to offer a donation according to your heart and means, it would be a blessing for our Theological School. In return, be assured that your name will be added to our prayer list which will be sent to Holy Cross with the request that you and your family are remembered during the celebration of the Holy Sacraments celebrated at the Holy Cross chapel.

Giving to our Theological School, as is true in giving to every educational cause, a gift that keeps on giving and is multiplied many times over. Think about it.

If you wish to offer a donation, please send a check to our parish office at:

St. George Greek Orthodox Church
P.O. Box 4755
Palm Desert, CA 92261

Make out the check to METROPOLIS OF SAN FRANCISCO and write: "HC/HC 75th ANNIVERSARY" on the memo line. Please list the names of your loved ones to be included on our prayer list, which will be sent to Holy Cross Theological School within the next few weeks.

May our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ always grant to you His many and great blessings.

+FR. THEODORE
