Special Thanks We want to sincerely thank everyone who helped on the Loukamades Breakfast last month. The breakfast raised $1,315.00 and the bake sale, another $1,508. This is a great example of people working together toward a common goal. Special thanks to Rania Maliha for chairing the breakfast and Eve Melotakis for chairing the bake sale. We could not have accomplished it without all our volunteers!!!

Sunday School Sunday School will begin Sept. 16th . We will hold Sunday School every Sunday. At the end of Liturgy, all children will come forward for the sharing of bread, before the adults. They will then go immediately to the church house for Sunday School. On a non-Liturgy Sunday, children should go to the church house at 11 a.m. There will be 3 classes: children 2-4 years, 5-10 years, and 11years and up. Our thanks to all who helped make this a reality. Please consider supporting our Sunday School with a one time, or annual gift. Remember, our children should be part of the community of saints.

Congratulations We would like to belatedly congratulate Emily Chucovich on her internship with the State Department in Washington D.C. She is working with the Office of Economic & Developmental Affairs within the Division of International Affairs. The internship is August through December. We are told she really enjoys her job. May God bless her and her work.

Congratulations to Erin Chucovich and her high school marching band. They won first in their division at the University of New Mexico’s Marching Band Competition!

Prosfora Many blessings to Mary Boemmel for providing November’s prosfora

General Assembly There will be a General Assembly meeting following Liturgy on Sunday, November 11th . Four council seats must be filled. This is the last opportunity to add nominations to the list of candidates. We will also need a 3 person election board and board of auditors. We know everyone is busy with their other jobs, but these are important positions for the life of our parish.

Please consider serving to preserve Orthodoxy in the Texas Panhandle.
Parish Council elections are scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 9th, following Liturgy.

Stewardship Sunday Nov. 25th is Stewardship Sunday. As stewards of God’s gifts we return to Him a portion of our time and treasure for Christ’s work on earth through His Church. We offer ourselves to the Lord at every Divine Liturgy with the words: “Your own gifts, from Your own gifts, we offer to You in behalf of all, and for all.” As you fill out your stewardship commitment card, keep in mind the expenses of our parish increase each year. The commitment cards will be collected on Sunday, Nov. 25th after Divine Liturgy or they can be mailed to the church office before Nov. 25th. Thank you for your commitment to your church.
