Resurrectional Apolytikion Fourth Tone

Apolytikion of the Church

APOLYTIKION OF ST. NICHOLAS

An example of the Faith and a life of humility, as a teacher of abstinence you did inspire and lead your flock and through your truthfulness of your deeds were exalted by greatness through your humility uplifting all and by poverty gaining wealth. Father and hierarch Nicholas intercede with Christ our God that our souls be saved.

Kontakion
In your holy birth, Immaculate One, Joachim and Anna were rid of the shame of childlessness; Adam and Eve of the corruption of death. And so your people, free of the guilt of their sins, celebrate crying: "The barren one gives birth to the Theotokos, who nourishes our life." - Translation by Narthex Press

Apolytikion for The Miracle at Colassai of Archangel Michael

Kontakion
O Michael, who standest altogether radiant before the Trinity together with all the heavenly Hosts, and with them dost cry aloud the song inspired of God: As thou dost pass throughout the earth by God's command and art made wondrous with exceedingly great marvels, cease not to intercede for us all. - Translation by Holy Transfiguration Monastery

Rev Fr. John E. Artemas, September 2009
Beloved Members of St. Nicholas Church, Sisters and Brothers in the Lord: May the Grace and Peace of God be with you.

1. I trust that you have all enjoyed a pleasant and restful summer. I was pleased that many of you continued to worship regularly throughout the summer months, and I look forward to seeing many of you whom I haven’t seen in a while. I pray that all is well with you

Ecumenical Patriarch's Message for the Day of the Protection of the Environment

August 31, 2009
The present crisis offers an opportunity for us to deal with the problems in a different way, because the methods that created these problems cannot provide their best solution. We need to bring love into all our dealings, the love that inspires courage and compassion. Human progress is not just the accumulation of wealth and the thoughtless consumption of the earth's resources. ...Read Full Text >

SUNDAY SCHOOL UPDATE

When Sunday School resumes on September 13, our program will remain the same as in the past. Children will worship together with their parents and after Communion will proceed to their classrooms. Students who registered last year do not need to pre-register this year. They can go directly to the next grade classroom.
For new students, who were not in Sunday School last year, we will have Pre-Registration today. A table will be set up in the foyer for this purpose during Coffee Hour. We invite and encourage all of our church families to worship regularly and have the children participate in Sunday School.
