SUNDAY SCHOOL GODPARENT/ GODCHILD SUNDAY &
BACK-TO-SCHOOL BREAKFAST

Next Sunday, September 27, the Sunday School will host a breakfast honoring Godparents and Godchildren. We encourage all godparents and godchildren to communicate with one another, to worship together (if possible), and enjoy warm fellowship and a hearty breakfast together. Reservations will be taken today in the foyer during Coffee Hour. You may also call the church office. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children 3 to 12 years old.

Tomorrow at 6:30 pm. All children, 3rd to 6th grades, and 7th – 12th grades, are invited to join us. We’ll be waiting for you!

METROPOLIS YOUTH CHOIR CONFERENCE
Registration forms are now available at the table in the foyer during the coffee hour. Father John invites and encourages all youths, ages 8 to 16 years old, to participate. Parents, please do your part to encourage your children.

SUNDAY SCHOOL - WELCOME TO OUR YOUNG PEOPLE
Today, children will worship together with their parents and after Communion will proceed to their classrooms. Students who registered last year do not need to register this year. They can go directly to the next grade classroom. New students, who were not in Sunday School last year, will be registered in their classrooms. We invite and encourage all of our church families to worship regularly and have their children participate in Sunday School.

PHILOPTOCHOS RUMMAGE SALE – BRING YOUR THINGS
On Saturday, October 17, the Philoptochos is holding their Fall Rummage Sale. Please bring your slightly used items to the church garage on Sundays or to the church on weekdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Don’t forget to mark your calendar for great bargains!

BYZANTINE MUSIC SCHOOL of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago is offering classes for south side churches. Classes are held every Saturday at 9:00 am at St. Spyridon Church, 12307 South Ridgeland Avenue, Palos Heights. Adult students and children over 10 years old are welcome. The first session was held on September 19, but new students are still welcome to join.
