Gala Grand Opening
The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House of the newly renovated Philoptochos Hall will take place this coming Saturday, September 26th. Come and enjoy food, drinks and the fellowship of others as we celebrate the new Hall. Semi-Formal attire suggested, Black Tie Optional. Please be prepared to help our Philoptochos Hall project continue to grow by contributing a donation.
Loukoumathes Sunday
Our Philoptochos Society is holding the first Loukoumathes Sunday today after Divine Liturgy in the Philoptochos Hall.
Sunday School
We welcome the Sunday School children of St. Basil back as classes begin today. We wish them all a successful year. If you haven’t registered your child and want to do so, please see Ms. Eleni Apostolopoulos, our Sunday School Director. Also, as a reminder to parents, please bring your child on time, school begins at 10am sharp.
Orthodoxy 101 Classes
We are encouraging anyone interested in learning more about our faith to join the upcoming classes that Fr. John has agreed to hold here. The first class will be held on Tuesday at 7:00pm in the Philoptochos Hall. For more information in joining, please see Fr. John or any Parish Council member.
Join the Choir
Anyone interested in joining is welcome, come up to the Choir Loft before 10am on Sundays and help us sing praise to the Lord.
Stewardship 2009
St. Basil needs your support. If you have not yet filled out your 2009 Pledge form, please consider doing so. Pledge forms can be found in the Narthex. At the heart of our Orthodox Christian Stewardship is gratitude in response to God's blessings, which He grants to us freely, lovingly and abundantly.

Bears Luncheons
This years Bears luncheons will be held on October 4th and November 1st.
IOCC 5K Walk/Run
The 3rd annual IOCC 5K Walk/Run to support International Orthodox Christian Charities global humanitarian aid programs will be held on Saturday October 3rd at St. Andrews Greek Orthodox Church at 8:00am. The fee is $20 and you can register online at www.iocc.org/Chicago .
