"It is a spiritual gift from God for a man to perceive his sins. THE SERVICES OF HOLY WEEK

Palm Sunday Service (April 12) On Palm Sunday we celebrate the glorious feast of the Entry of our Lord into Jerusalem. The Prophet Zechariah had prophesied the entrance of Messiah into Jerusalem saying,“Rejoice, rejoice, people of Zion! Shout for joy, you people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you! He comes triumphant and victorious, but humble and riding on a donkey – on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” (Zech. 9:9) On this day a Procession with Palms takes place and palm branches, symbol of victory, are distributed to the faithful. Holding the palms, people sing, “Hosanna in the highest; blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord.”
Nymphios (Bridegroom) Service (April 12, 13, 14) The Bridegroom Service is actually an Orthros service. The name comes from the central figure in the well-known parable of the ten virgins (Mt. 25:1-13). The Kingdom of God is compared to the bridal feast and the Christ of the
