Apolytikion of the Church
O Commanders of the Heavenly Host, we the unworthy beseech you, that through your entreaties you will fortify us, guarding us in the shelter of the wings of your ethereal glory, even as we fervently bow before you crying: "Deliver us from all danger, as Commanders of the Powers on high!

The confounding of the tongues is explained in Genesis 11: 1-9. The Hebrews, like

Volunteerism: The Gift that Keeps Giving Back
By: Helen Farmakis, ST. PAUL, Savannah, GA

Being a volunteer in the community of Savannah, Georgia
for the past several years has truly been a blessing to me. I have gained a breadth of knowledge and insight into a sphere of life I was never even aware of in my younger years.
The Chatham County Youth Commission really sparked my
enthusiasm and excitement in volunteerism. Suddenly I became involved in events allover the city of Savannah, and I was constantly meeting new people. Volunteering became more than a requirement for community service hours for the school honor society. Instead, volunteering became a passion of mine, and I intend to continue my passion throughout my college career and beyond.
Working at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the
Coastal Empire, I
