If you were unable to attend, you missed out on hearing the glorious, ethereal sound coming from 140 adults and 20 youth singers. Those who participated sang George Raptis` arrangement of the Divine Liturgy under the direction of Mr. Raptis himself. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios of Atlanta. The Youth Choir, under the direction of Joanne Kambouris from Clearwater, Florida, sang various hymns learned from the Divine Liturgy in just a few days. When they were not rehearsing, the Youth participated in several exciting field trips in the Atlanta area and attended the annual dance and Grand Banquet, featuring our very first Metropolis Orchestra with participants from 6 to 86 included in this unique and talented ensemble.
Next year, the Choir Conference will be held June 22-25, 2006 in beautiful Orlando, Florida! Mark your calendars now and encourage the entire family to come join us for another musically inspiring weekend. Afterwards, plan on visiting the many area attractions of Walt Disney World and Epcott.
