Apolytikion for Afterfeast of the Holy Cross
Lord, save Your people and bless Your inheritance, granting our rulers to prevail over adversaries, and protecting Your commonwealth by Your Cross. -Translation by Narthex Press

Apolytikion of the Church
O Commanders of the Heavenly Host, we the unworthy beseech you, that through your entreaties you will fortify us, guarding us in the shelter of the wings of your ethereal glory, even as we fervently bow before you crying: "Deliver us from all danger, as Commanders of the Powers on high!

Kontakion
Lifted up on the Cross by Your free will, Christ God, grant mercies to the new commonwealth that bears Your name. Gladden our faithful rulers by Your power, giving them victories over their adversaries. May Your alliance be for them a weapon for peace, an invincible standard. - Translation by Narthex Press

Apolytikion for Eustathios the Great Martyr, his wife and two children
Thy Martyrs, O Lord, in their courageous contest for Thee received as the prize the crowns of incorruption and life from Thee, our immortal God. For since they possessed Thy strength, they cast down the tyrants and wholly destroyed the demons' strengthless presumption. O Christ God, by their prayers, save our souls, since Thou art merciful. - Translation by Holy Transfiguration Monastery

THE CROSS - A VICTORY OVER EVIL, SIN, SATAN AND DEATH
Fr. Andrew Maginas, ST. CATHERINE, W. Palm Beach, FL
The Ecclesiastical -Church- year began on September first. It is ironical that we celebrate a new Church year and new beginnings at the same time that the school year is beginning. No matter how hard the anti-Christian forces in our society attempt to separate us from our churches- we continue to cross paths with our ...Read Full Text >

ARCHANGEL MICHAEL FEAST DAY AND HONORS 2009

The Archangel Michael Feast was prayerfully conceived by His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios upon His arrival to Atlanta, as the annual double feast of the Metropolitan family. Since 1998, the Metropolitan family comes together in Atlanta on the weekend of, prior to, or following the November 8th Feast of the Archangels Michael and Gabriel. It is to honor and celebrate our Patron Saint and the lives of one adult and one youth from each parish, who are the living examples of the Orthodox Christian life and journey to Theosis. By extension, this special Metropolis feast is also the annual Metropolitan celebration and thanks giving for all devout stewards of faith, time and talent, “Who first give themselves to the Lord by the will of God.
