Apolytikion for Afterfeast of the Holy Cross
Lord, save Your people and bless Your inheritance, granting our rulers to prevail over adversaries, and protecting Your commonwealth by Your Cross. -Translation by Narthex Press

Apolytikion of the Church
O Commanders of the Heavenly Host, we the unworthy beseech you, that through your entreaties you will fortify us, guarding us in the shelter of the wings of your ethereal glory, even as we fervently bow before you crying: "Deliver us from all danger, as Commanders of the Powers on high!

Kontakion
Lifted up on the Cross by Your free will, Christ God, grant mercies to the new commonwealth that bears Your name. Gladden our faithful rulers by Your power, giving them victories over their adversaries. May Your alliance be for them a weapon for peace, an invincible standard. - Translation by Narthex Press

Many inner city schools are moving to curb gang involvement and discipline problems by issuing uniforms and banning make-up and jewelry. Thus far, these methods have been proven quite successful. Even if your child`s school has not instituted such regulations, you should insist that your child be attired modestly and neatly. Have guidelines in place before you dress your kids.
2. Emphasize the importance of keeping fasts at school. Temptations will come not only from the child`s peers, but from
