Apolytikion of the Church
O Commanders of the Heavenly Host, we the unworthy beseech you, that through your entreaties you will fortify us, guarding us in the shelter of the wings of your ethereal glory, even as we fervently bow before you crying: "Deliver us from all danger, as Commanders of the Powers on high!

Kontakion
O Protection of Christians that cannot be put to shame, mediation unto the creator most constant: O despise not the voices of those who have sinned; but be quick, O good one, to come unto our aid, who in faith cry unto thee: Hasten to intercession and speed thou to make supplication, O thou who dost ever protect, O Theotokos, them that honor thee. - Translation by Holy Transfiguration Monastery

Apolytikion for Chariton the Confessor

By your miracles you have become a light, shining upon the world. O Chariton, our Holy Father, pray to Christ our God, to save our souls. -Translation by Narthex Press

Kontakion
Delighting in abstinence, O godly-minded one, and reining in the desires of thy flesh, thou wast seen to be increasing in faith. And thou didst blossom forth like the tree of life in the midst of Eden, O all-blessed and most sacred Chariton. - Translation by Holy Transfiguration Monastery

Fr. John Kostas, ST. GEORGE, Knoxville, TN
"And now faith, hope and love abide, these three…"
(I Cor. 13: 13)

Christians believe in the Holy Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In a similar way, the Scriptures teach us a trinity of Christian virtues -- faith (pistis), hope (elpis) and love (agape). These virtues go hand-in-hand, as do the three persons of the
