Orthros: 8:30 a.m.
Divine Liturgy: 9:30 a.m.
Fellowship
Today's fellowship is hosted by the "Panagia" Community. Everyone is invited to Plato Hall to enjoy fellowship.
Father’s Day
We wish a “Happy Father’s Day” to all the fathers in our Parish who are celebrating this special day. Upon exiting the Church this morning, all the men will receive a beautiful keychain with a beautiful Icon of Christ in acrylic. Our mothers received a similar keychain on Mother’s Day, which had an Icon of the Panagia.
We Need YOU!
Even though we have recently completed a very successful Sunday Church School Program, and we are enjoying the start of the summer season, our Sunday Church School Staff are already busy preparing for the upcoming School Year 2009-2010. Our appeal goes out again to those interested men and women who would like to become part of our teaching staff as teach or aide. The basic requirements are a love for their Church, their Faith, and of course, love of children. Please consider offering your talent and time to our beloved Panagia Parish, while also helping mold our Orthodox children into Soldiers for Christ. Please direct your interest/inquiries to the Director of our S.C.S., Mrs. Christina Arvanites, or either Father Timothy or Father Athanasios.
WITH INFINITE LOVE
When someone sends you something, you look at the gift card, or at the address, to see who sent it. This is only natural. But there is a gift card that goes with everything we have, if we only look to see, and the card reads like this: "With infinite Love, Yours faithfully, God.
Summer Worship Schedule:
Please note that each Sunday through Labor Day, Sunday Orthros will begin at 8:00am, followed by the Divine Liturgy at 9:30am. Weekday Orthros/Divine Liturgy Services will begin at the normal time of 8:30am/9:30am.
Annual Assumption Church Picnic:
Once again, our beloved Parish of Panagia will hold its annual Labor Day Picnic on the Church grounds on Sunday/Monday, September 6th and 7th. Mr. James Lakerdas, President of the Parish Council, has announced that this year’s Chairpersons for the Picnic are Mrs. Christina Arvanites and Mrs. Tina Sarantos. Father Timothy and the members of the Parish Council are grateful to Christina and Tina for accepting this responsibility and giving of their time and talents to our Panagia Community. Should you wish to be a part of their team, please speak to either of them, or to James Lakerdas or Father Timothy.
Please Note
The Sacraments of the Orthodox Church, including the reception of Holy Communion, are reserved for those of the Orthodox Faith only, and who are also in Good Standing Ecclesiastically with the Church. If you are a visitor from another Denomination/Faith, we welcome you as an observer and guest.
