Today`s Fellowship is being hosted by the Pietrzyk family in memory of their beloved Stanley (Stylianos) Pietrzyk. May his memory be eternal. Everyone is invited to Plato Hall to enjoy fellowship.
The son of Don and Tonie Yannias will be baptized today, at 1:00 pm and given the name Charles by his Godparent Michael Eugenides.
The sons of George and Virginia Demos will baptized today at 3:00 pm and given the names of Christopher by his Godparents John and Voula Alexis and George by his Godparents Dino and Georgia Blathras.

"A Greek Evening"
As our Philoptochos chapter celebrates its 10th Anniversary, we encourage ALL of our Assumption family to join us for dinner and a concert featuring Vasilios Gaitanos. "A Greek Evening" will be held on Thursday evening, September 25, 2008 with cocktails at 6:00 P.M. and dinner at 7:00 P.M. at the Rosewood Banquets. We need the support of our church family and friends to make this evening a success. Our proceeds will benefit IOCC and the Crohn`s and Colitis Foundation of America. Mark your calendars and please support this milestone for our Philoptochos chapter.
Hellenic Link-Midwest is Awarding Scholarships for Academic Year 2008-09
A number of Scholarships, $2,000 or more each, will be awarded.
Eligibility: Undergraduate and graduate students from Midwestern states, who have completed a year of full time study at an accredited college or university, are residents of a Midwestern state, and at least one of their parents is of Greek descent.
For the complete eligibility and selection criteria details, obtain the application at: www.helleniclinkmidwest.org. All related materials and documents must be postmarked no later than November 1, 2008.
A reminder that we are in our "Summer Sunday Worship Schedule". Orthros begins at 8:00 a.m., followed by the Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m.
