TAKE A PILGRIMAGE TO THE HOLY LANDS
Maria C. Khoury lives in the only all-Christian village left in Palestine, the village of Taybeth, the biblical town of Ephraim where our Lord Jesus Christ went to rest before His crucifixion (John 11:54).
Today, Saint George, the Orthodox Church in Taybeth, is making an effort to maintain the Christian identity of the village and the Christian element of Palestine in part through the generosity of Christians abroad and Americans at large.
You are invited to take a pilgrimage to the Holy Lands and support this effort through Maria Khoury’s books. They make an inspirational reading and wonderful Easter gifts.
Maria’s books are available at the Philoptochos table and at the Resource center every Sunday, or by calling Kristi Fadel 781-334-4043.
Your financial, spiritual and genuine support will greatly encourage the Christian community in the Holy Land.

Choral Art Society Concert; May 10th Saturday
The Choral Art Society of 60 singers will perform Rachmaninoff’s masterpiece of sacred choral music know as the Vespers (All-Night Vigil). The piece is approximately one hour of Orthodox music that demands great vocal power and technique by its performers.
In 2006, we were thrilled to hear the Rachmaninoff’s Festival Choir perform the Liturgy of St John Chrysostom at Saint Vasilios. Now, we have the opportunity to hear Rachmaninoff’s jewel or masterpiece known as the Vespers by another choral group. The performance will be two weeks after our Easter, and will include a couple beautiful encore surprises for us at St Vasilios.
Parish Nurse
St. Vasilios is beginning its Parish Nursing program during the month of March. Sophia Grevelis, R.N., has joined our St. Vasilios Ministry Team in 2007 with the express purpose of establishing this new ministry. She works with Father Chris Foustoukos in a confidential manner to identify, support and guide those within our parish family and throughout the North Shore who are in need of assistance.
A FREE Blood pressure Clinic is offered on the second and fourth Friday of the month from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. This month the clinic will be held on March 14 and 28.
As a referral source, the Parish Nurse is available to provide parishioners and members of the community with information about a wide range of health related topics. These may include referrals to physicians, support groups, community agencies, parish resources, etc. As this ministry grows, we hope to expand our services to include Cholesterol and Glucose Screening.
