IMPORTANT GREEK SCHOOL NOTICE ANNOUNCEMENT

On Monday, 21 April 2008, His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios of Boston will visit St. Vasilios to celebrate the Nymphios Service.
Although the Greek School is not in session due to the Spring Break, we feel it is important for our children to experience this wonderful service. For this reason, the Greek School teachers would like to invite all their students to come sit with us in the pews at the front of the church to join in this celebration. The service begins at 7:00pm. We ask that the children be in the church 10 minutes earlier. This will count as a make-up day.

Please remember that when attending church with the Greek School, students are to dress appropriately. Girls should wear a skirt and top or a dress (with their shoulders covered), tights and dress shoes. Boys are to wear dress pants and a dress shirt. NO JEANS or SNEAKERS.
We would also like to invite the Sunday School Teachers and students to join us.
We hope to see everyone there and we wish you all a Most Holy and Blessed Holy Week and Easter.

Choral Art Society Concert; May 10th Saturday The Choral Art Society of 60 singers will perform Rachmaninoff’s masterpiece of sacred choral music know as the Vespers (All-Night Vigil). The piece is approximately one hour of Orthodox music that demands great vocal power and technique by its performers.

In 2006, we were thrilled to hear the Rachmaninoff’s Festival Choir perform the Liturgy of St John Chrysostom at Saint Vasilios. Now, we have the opportunity to hear Rachmaninoff’s jewel or masterpiece known as the Vespers by another choral group. The performance will be two weeks after our Easter, and will include a couple beautiful encore surprises for us at St Vasilios.
