CHURCH SCHOOL UPDATE Congratulations to our students Stacey Kourtis (Junior Division) and Marielea Berkowitz (Senior Division), who won the Boston District Oratorical Festival on April 14th at the Cathedral Center in Brookline. They will be advancing to compete in the Diocese Oratorical Festival on May 12th at the College of the Holy Cross. All are invited to attend!

Please remember to return the IOCC ministry donation boxes (blue boxes). Thank you for your donations!

YOUTH CHOIR: (grades 4-8) is joining the senior choir during Divine Liturgy on Mother’s Day, May 13th from 9:30 until Communion. After Communion, Church School students will go to their regular classes. We hope that all our 4th-8th grade children will participate.

PRAYER SHAWL KNITTING MINISTRY On the first and third Tuesday of each month at 1 P.M. we meet to knit Prayer Shawls. Please join us and learn more about the Prayer Shawl Knitting Ministry. We have the yarn, needles and even the teachers...you can also knit at home if you can`t make it on Tuesdays; and many of our 36 knitters do knit from home. Also, please let us know who in our Parish may need our extra prayers by receiving a Prayer Shawl.

ORTHODOX LIFE SERIES APRIL 18TH
Orthodox Life will resume with a four-part lecture series entitled “The Human Person in the Image and Likeness of God.” The lectures will be offered by Fr. Eugen Pentiuc, professor of Old Testament at Hellenic College and Holy Cross. Fr. Eugen is a recognized expert in biblical studies and holds two doctorates, one from Harvard University in Near Eastern languages and civilizations and one in theology from the University of Bucharest. The lectures will offer an examination of the human condition and its destiny according to the first chapters of Genesis.
Please note that we will be meeting on Wednesdays for this particular lecture series. The dates and time of the lectures are:
April 18, April 25, May 2 and May 9, from 7-8:15 P.M.
