TODAY - GREEK DANCING END-OF-YEAR PARTY The Greek Dancing End-of-Year Party will take place today from 11:50 a.m.-12:50 p.m. in the middle school classrooms.
All dancers and their families are invited.
Alums and their families can also join us!


PARISH PICNIC NEXT SATURDAY, JUNE 6TH, 11:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
Our entire Church family is invited to a wonderful BBQ/Picnic where we can celebrate our loving community and 50 years of ministry at St. Demetrios. Details to follow.

ST. DEMETRIOS CHURCH SCHOOL MAY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:

VACATION BIBLE CHURCH SCHOOL REGISTRATION HAS BEGUN
The program runs June 29th – July 3rd, from 9-12 noon for students Pre-K – 6th grade.
We need adults and students (7th-12th grade) to volunteer.

GRADUATION SEASON APPROACHES Our High School and College students will soon be graduating and we want to
acknowledge them in a special program planned for June.
Please contact the Church Office (781-237-5561) if your son/daughter will be graduating.


GOYA NEWS UPDATE We look forward to defeating the Parish Council on June 6th at the parish picnic.
The game will begin at 2:00 p.m.– come ready to play!
Our BBQ/Elections event has been scheduled for Saturday, June 27th at the Kourtis home.
We’ll look forward to celebrating another wonderful year of GOYA and hold our 2009/10 elections.
Thanks to the Kourtis family for hosting us and save the date of the 27th!

SENIOR GUILD TRIP ON JUNE 10TH We’ll be heading to Portland, ME for a luncheon and cruise!
On the 10th, the bus will leave from the Church parking lot at 8:30 a.m.
Please arrive promptly at 8:00 a.m.


THE 2009 METROPOLIS AWARDS DINNER SUNDAY-JUNE 14TH Join Spike Gavris and his family for this heartfelt event honoring our beloved “parishioner of the year.”
Tickets are $75 per person and should be arranged through the Church Office so we can all sit together.

10-YEAR OLD GREG DESPERATELY NEEDS A BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT: WE CAN HELP! Greg (Worcester area), who has been battling leukemia for 8 years, needs a bone marrow transplant urgently. Anyone interested in helping may contact the Caitlin-Raymond International Registry at 508-334-5388.

PHILOPTOCHOS: SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE NEWS The Scholarship Committee has announced this year’s scholarships for our young students who are entering or are currently in college.
The application can be downloaded from the St. Demetrios website, www.stdemetriosweston.org.

EASTER LILLY DONATION FULFILLMENT Our parish greatly appreciates the lilies that adorned our sanctuary on Pascha and beyond.

ST. FRANCIS HOUSE OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY Founded in 1984, St. Francis House is the largest day shelter in New England, offering compassionate aid to those who cannot help themselves and to those able to take steps to move themselves up and out of
poverty, unemployment and homelessness.
There is an interest in our parish in volunteering at the House on a weekly basis; carpooling can be arranged.
