Memorial prayers will be offered at the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy today for the repose of the soul of the servant of God, Fotini Dedousis (40 days). The Coffee Hour is being sponsored in her memory by her family. May her memory be eternal!
Vasilopita Celebration Today
The Philoptochos is hosting the annual Vasilopita Celebration ("Saint Basil's Bread") today following the Divine Liturgy. As is the tradition in our parishes, the main loaf will be cut into slices, with a piece given to each of the ministries and organizations of the Church. The ladies will also pass a special tray for the support of St. Basil Academy in Garrison, NY. Thank you for your support of this is an annual appeal of the National Philoptochos, which has dedicated itself to supporting this Archdiocesan institution. Thank you also to Kay Balouris for the preparation of the Vasilopita for this annual celebration. In addition, the Church School classes will also hold a Vasilopita celebration in each classroom today. Thank you to Presvytera Becky for preparing the special loaves for Church School use today.
Parish Council Installation Today
Today following the Divine Liturgy the 2012 Parish Council will be installed. Serving the first year of their newly-elected terms are: Dean A. Balouris, George Dickos, Jason Farmakis, Louis Kort, Marios Kritioris and Alex Trilivas. Continuing on for the remainder of their terms are: Chris T. Balouris, George Danis, Troy Geanopulos, Charles Petredis, Stephanie Sedor, Vasilios Scoumis and Gerri Valliant. Parish Council installation will be held at the end of Liturgy today, followed by the election of officers. May God be their guide and strength in all things! Please be sure to give their your full support as they serve you in the coming year.
GOYA Youth and Parent Pre-Season Basketball Tournament Meeting Today
There will be a very important GOYA Youth and Parent Pre-Season Basketball Tournament meeting today following Divine Liturgy and the Vasilopita celebration. All GOYAns and parents are asked to attend. Important information regarding participation in the Metropolis Basketball Tournament season will be discussed. Thank you!

HOPE/JOY January Event: Sleepover - January 20/21
Holy Trinity HOPE and JOY ministries will be hosting a sleepover for youth and their parents at Holy Trinity Church`s interim location, 495 Browns Lane, overnight Friday January 20, 2012 through Saturday morning January 21, 2012 (start/end times TBD - will be announced). They will be spending the evening with a lot of fun activities including stump the priest, movies, snacks, scavenger hunt, giant twister and a few other surprises.
