Trisagion Prayers Today
In addition to the departed Philoptochos members being commemorate today, the Cocheres family is also offering 40-day Trisagion prayers for the departed servant of God, Col. Thomas Cocheres, who recently fell asleep in the Lord in Texas. May his memory be eternal!
Philoptochos Sunday Today
Our "Omonia" Chapter of the Ladies Philoptochos Society is celebrating National Philoptochos Sunday today, along with parishes from throughout the Archdiocese. They will offer the following celebrations and blessings for this annual event:
- The new Philoptochos officers will be installed.
- A Memorial Service for all the departed Philoptochos chapter members will be offered.
- An Artoclasia (Blessing of the Loaves) in celebration of their feast will be held.
- A special collection to benefit the philanthropic work of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople be passed.
- The Philoptochos is also hosting the coffee hour today.
- NEW: There will also be a small fund raiser with proceeds going to the Patriarchate. This will be an opportunity to test your putting skills on our newly contructed putting green for a small donation. Please join them. (This is a bit of a play on words, as the press has been covering the visit of His All-Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew as the "Green Patriarch" for his environmental focus, so the Philoptochos is sponsoring a "green" event with the putting green.) Thanks for supporting them!
Over the years, this philanthropic ministry has provided help for both our own church and the poor and needy throughout the country and the world. Thank you, ladies, for your many years of Gospel-inspired works of love offered in the name of Christ!

Thank you from Father John
"I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers." (Ephesians 1.16). Please accept my personal thanks for the wonderful celebration and heartfelt birthday greetings and prayers during the "surprise" celebration of my birthday last Sunday. It was truly a joyous day for me seeing the community celebrate with such family togetherness. Thanks to Presvytera Becky and the beloved friends who coordinated it with her, as well as all those who brought the delicious food for the event. May God grant each of you many years as well, and my He bless Holy Trinity Church with a glorious and fruitful future! With love in Christ, Father John
