Resurrectional Apolytikion

The joyful news of Your resurrection was told to the women disciples of the Lord by the angel. And throwing off the ancestral curse, they boastingly told the Apostles: death has been vanquished; Christ our God is risen, bestowing great mercy on the world.



Apolytikion for Haralambos the Holy Martyr

O wise Haralambos, you were proven an unshakeable pillar of the Church of Christ; an ever-shining lamp of the universe. You shone in the world by your martyrdom. You delivered us from the moonless night of idolatry, O blessed one. Wherefore, boldly intercede to Christ that we may be saved.



Apolytikion of the Church

Today is the crown of our salvation, and the revelation of the mystery planned from eternity; the Son of God, becomes the Virgin’s Son, and Gabriel announces the grace. Wherefore, we along with him, to the Theotokos let us cry out: Rejoice, O full of grace, the Lord is with you.

O protection of Christians that cannot be put to shame, mediation unto the Creator most constant: O despise not the suppliant voices of those who have sinned; but be quick, O good one, to come unto our aid, who in faith cry unto you: Hasten to intercession, and speed to make supplication, you who does ever protect, O Theotokos, them that honor you.
