Apolytikion for Great and Holy Pascha

“Christ is risen from the dead; and by His death has He trampled upon death; and to those in the tombs does He grant life!”



Resurrectional Apolytikion

Let the heavens rejoice and the earth be glad, for the Lord has shown the power of His reign: He has conquered death by death, and become the first born of the dead. He has delivered us from the depths of Hades, and has granted the world great mercy.



Apolytikion of the Church

Today is the crown of our salvation, and the revelation of the mystery planned from eternity; the Son of God, becomes the Virgin’s Son, and Gabriel announces the grace. Wherefore, we along with him, to the Theotokos let us cry out: Rejoice, O full of grace, the Lord is with you.



Kontakion

Though You went down into the tomb, O Immortal One, You destroyed Hades’ power, and rose the victor, Christ God. To the myrrh-bearing women, saying “Rejoice!” and granting peace to Your Apostles; You are He Who raises the fallen.
