The world has found in you a great champion in time of peril, as you emerged the victor in routing the barbarians. ADULT DANCE FUN
Adults (18 & up) are invited to join Alex Augoustidis on alternate Tuesdays (Oct. 20, Nov. 3) from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Zapis Activity Center for fun & exercise while doing Greek dances, as we get ready for our 50th anniversary gala! Sessions are FREE. Those who have always wanted to learn- now is your chance!

BOOK DISCUSSION
Wed., Oct. 21 at 1:30 p.m. in the Library to discuss The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith. Pick up a copy of the book in the church office.

HALLELUJAH PARTY
Sat., Oct. 24 JOY invites all children (ages 5-12) to the annual fall party in the Zapis Activity Center from noon– 2 p.m. with food & a costume parade. Parents can sign up to bring food or help at our booth during coffee hours on the preceding October Sundays.

ST DEMETRIOS FEASTDAY
Sun., Oct. 25 Great Vespers at 5 p.m. followed by an Anniversary Reception in the hall, with local dignitaries honoring our parish’s 50th anniversary.
Mon., Oct. 26 feastday Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m., followed by a luncheon. Tickets for the luncheon are $15.

NOVEMBER FEASTDAYS
Sun., Nov. 1 -Sts. Cosmas & Damian, patron saints of Philoptochos; a 2nd tray will be passed to benefit “Friends of the Poor” programs.

Sun., Nov. 8 –Vespers for both Archangels and St. Nektarios at 7 p.m.; coffee hour to follow.
