HALLELUJAH PARTY
Sat., Oct. 24 JOY invites all children (ages 5-12) to the annual fall party in the Zapis Activity Center from noon– 2 p.m. with food & a costume parade. Parents can sign up to bring food or help at our booth during coffee hours on the preceding October Sundays.

GREEK SCHOOL ATTENDANCE
Greek School students should meet in their classrooms at 4:45 p.m. today in order to attend Vespers as a group. (Attendance will be taken.) There will be NO classes on Tue., Oct. 27 but we will celebrate OXI Day with a pizza party on Thu, Oct. 29.

BASKETBALL CAMP
Nick Hillman will run a skills camp for all GOYA basketball for three weeks, assisted by the other coaches. Girls’ Camp will be on Tue/Thu 7-9 p.m., Oct. 27 & 29, Nov. 3,5,10 & 12. Boys’ camp will be on Mon/Wed 7-9 p.m., Oct. 26 &28, Nov. 2, 4, 9, and 11.

NOVEMBER FEASTDAYS
Sun., Nov. 1 -Sts. Cosmas & Damian, patron saints of Philoptochos; a 2nd tray will be passed to benefit “Friends of the Poor” programs.

GENERAL ASSEMBLY
Mon., Nov. 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the Cultural Hall. A quorum of 25 members in good standing is required for this meeting. If a quorum is not met, the meeting will take place on Thursday, November 5, 2009, regardless. The agenda includes a 50th Anniversary Report and Nomination of an Election Committee.

ADULT DANCE FUN
Adults (18 & up) are invited to join Alex Augoustidis on our final session, Tuesday Nov. 3 from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Zapis Activity Center for fun & exercise while doing Greek dances, as we get ready for our 50th anniversary gala! Sessions are FREE. Those who have always wanted to learn- now is your chance!

VETERANS DAY
On Sun., Nov. 8, Fr. Jim will bless members of the American Legion Hellenic Post, all parish veterans, and current servicemen/women, and offer a Trisagion for those who laid down their lives for their country. Submit names for the Trisagion to the office.
