Begin thinking about and discussing with your family how you will enter in, and participate in, the joy of the Fast.

Church Fathers Speak: – The Jesus Prayer is not some talisman. Its power comes from faith in the Lord, and from a deep union of the mind and heart with Him. With such a disposition, the invocation of the Lord’s Name becomes very effective in many ways. But a mere repetition of the words does not signify anything..

Stewardship Update — As of February 25, 99 parishioners have submitted a pledge card and 54% of our stewardship budget is pledged. If you have not already, please make your commitment of time, talents and treasures to God in our parish of St George. We are encouraging everyone to tithe (give 10% of gross income) by increasing their giving from the previous year. Reflection: There are two kinds of gratitude – the kind we feel for what we receive and the larger kind we feel for what we give.
