Resurrectional Apolytikion Third Tone
Let all things above in heav'n rejoice, and let all things below on earth be glad. With all the might and strength of His arm an eternal deed the Lord did perform. Beneath His feet He has trampled down death by death, and first born of the dead has He become. From the womb of Hades has He delivered us, and to all the world has granted His great redeeming mercy. - Translation from Green Hymnal

Apolytikion of the Church
Let us honor Saint Barbara, for she hath broken the snares of the enemy; and like a sparrow, she, the all-modest maiden, was delivered out of them by the help and weapon of the Cross. - Translation by Holy Transfiguration Monastery

Kontakion

Although we have celebrated America’s birthday, Independence Day, the 4th of July, allow me to share some reflections about this important holiday in the life of our country. The United States, compared to other nations of the world, is actually a very young nation. In fact, the entire 222 years of history have been spanned by the lives of just a ...Read Full Text >

The Court ruled that the Ecumenical Patriarchate, which had purchased the property with its own funds in 1902, was the rightful owner of the property, which ownership was not affected by subsequent legislation and actions involving charitable foundations. ...Read Full Text >
