Resurrectional Apolytikion Plagal of the First Tone
Eternal with the Father and the Spirit is the Word, Who of a Virgin was begotten for our salvation. As the faithful we both praise and worship Him, for in the flesh did He consent to ascend unto the Cross, and death did He endure and He raised unto life the dead through His all glorious resurrection. - Translation from Green Hymnal

Apolytikion for Forefeast of the Elevation of the Holy Cross
We offer Thee in mediation the life-giving Cross which, of Thy goodness, Thou hast given unto us, the unworthy, O Lord. Save Thy hierarchs and Thy flock, and grant Thou peace through the Theotokos, O only friend of man. -Translation by Holy Transfiguration Monastery

Apolytikion of the Church
Let us honor Saint Barbara, for she hath broken the snares of the enemy; and like a sparrow, she, the all-modest maiden, was delivered out of them by the help and weapon of the Cross. - Translation by Holy Transfiguration Monastery

Kontakion
The Church is shown to be a many-lighted heaven that doth shine a guiding light upon all them that do believe; wherein while standing we cry aloud: Do Thou Thyself now establish this house, O Lord. - Translation by Holy Transfiguration Monastery

Always with love

Always criticize with love. It was said a great teacher that when she had to criticize a student, or someone she always did so with her arm around the person, so that the criticism was also an act of encouragement.

Saint Paul writes, "Above all, love each other deeply because love covers a multitude of sins" (1Peter 4:8). Love radiates a love to others that absorbs and overlooks the "dark spots" in others.
