SUNDAY FELLOWSHIP HOUR Thank you to everyone who has signed up for fellowship following Liturgy through the remainder of this year! There are only a couple of Sundays remaining, so if you would like to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, name day, etc, then please hurry!

BUSINESS DIRECTORY The final component of the upcoming parish directory will be the business directory. If you're a steward of Sts. Peter & Paul and are self-employed or run/own a business (for example, real estate, catering, etc...) and you would like to have your information included, then please reply to this email or contact Ian Mitchell or Nick Kallan asap. This is a free service designed to highlight Orthodox businesses run by parishioners. Although many people in the parish already know who to contact for certain items, since this directory will also be provided to those new to the parish/area, it will be an invaluable source of information.

UPDATED PARISH DIRECTORY Today is the last day to make changes to your information in the directory. If you haven't already checked your name, address, email, phone numbers, etc., then please take a look at the copy in the Narthex!

JEWELRY FUNDRAISER The Philoptochos annual jewelry show fund raiser will be held in the fellowship hall this Sunday, October 18 following Divine Liturgy. Show your support to the Philoptochos by making a jewelry purchase. With Christmas just around the corner, start your shopping early! If you took a jewelry catalog to view at home, please bring it back on Sunday. We need to return all the catalogs to the Premier jeweler representative. Thank you!

BOULDER RURAL FIRE DEPARTMENT DINNER Next Saturday (October 24th) from 4pm to 7pm, Boulder rural fire protection district will be holding their 11th annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser with tours of the station & fire trucks, bouncy castles, face painting, etc. Join them for this fundraiser event and thank them for being participants at our own Taste of Orthodoxy a month ago! The dinner is $6 for adults and $3 for children. (5075 Jay road, boulder - on Jay road, on the other side of the Diagonal Highway to the Church.)

WOMEN’S RETREAT TO MOTHER CASSIANA'S It is that time of the year when we try to go to mother Cassiana's monastery. As you know the number of people that can go is limited by mother Cassiana at 11. The retreat is scheduled for Nov. 6-8. Please let Dana Gall or Lis Troicky know as soon as possible if you can make it.

GIFT WRAP FUNDRAISER Gift Wrap/Candy fund raiser continues today. Stop by in the hall today and browse through the catalog of not only gift wrap, but various gifts, nuts and candy. We have a limited amount of catalogs. Please share them with family, co-workers, friends and neighbors, but please bring them back the following Sunday. Turn in your orders to Sarah Troicky.

IOCC EMERGENCY APPEAL International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) is part of a coordinated international effort to bring relief to the thousands that have been displaced by Typhoon Ketsana in the Philippines and the 7.6 magnitude earthquake that devastated western Sumatra in Indonesia.
Typhoon Ketsana struck the Philippines on September 26 and the subsequent floods and mudslides killed hundreds and displaced thou- sands. IOCC is working through the Orthodox Church in the hard-hit province of Rizal to deliver emergency supplies to victims. “We cannot be blind to the difficulties of the victims, because we are right where the action is,” says Father Yitzhak Monsanto of the Manila Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church. IOCC is providing an initial grant that will deliver enough food, clothing and medicines to assist nearly 500 survivors.
In Indonesia, the earthquake that struck western Sumatra on September 30 caused major damage to the provincial capital of Padang and killed more than 700. Nearly 1 million are homeless and thousands are being treated for injuries. IOCC is in contact with its Orthodox partners in Sumatra to coordinate a possible relief and recovery response. And, as a member of Action by Churches Together (ACT), IOCC is supporting its ecumenical partners who are currently on the ground in the Padang area providing mobile medical units, high protein food kits and hygiene supplies. As the scope of the disaster in Indonesia becomes more clear, IOCC will contin- ue to coordinate its response with these members to determine the best course of action, likely to include the direct delivery of medical supplies into Padang.
“Those who have survived the devastation throughout Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands now need life-saving medicine, food and water, but because of the sanitary conditions – and with many survivors sleeping in the open – time is critical,” says IOCC Development Director Dan Christopulos.
You can help the victims of disasters around the world, like the Asia Pacific Disasters, by making a financial gift to the IOCC International Emergency Response Fund, which will provide immediate relief as well as long- term support through the provision of emergency aid, recovery assistance and other support to help those in need. To make a gift please visit www.iocc.org, call toll free at 1-877-803-IOCC (4622), or mail a check or money order payable to IOCC, P.O. Box 630225, Baltimore, Md. 21263-0225.
