PAN-ORTHODOX VESPERS @ STS. PETER & PAUL This Sunday evening at 5:00pm, Sts. Peter & Paul will be hosting the local pan-Orthodox Vespers. Please make every effort to attend this event and show our hospitality to our visitors.
Following Vespers, we will also host a fellowship hour. As a symbol of our community's philoxenia, could everyone who is able, bring a Lenten dish (no meat/fish or dairy) to serve at the fellowship hour (main dish, side dish, or dessert). Please either bring the dish to the hall after Liturgy this Sunday or before Vespers Sunday evening.

INVENTORY OF CHURCH PROPERTY Next Sunday (March 21) we will be performing an exhaustive inventory of all Church property. We need as many volunteers as possible to stay for an hour following Church to help with this process, which is necessary to retain our insurance. If not enough people volunteer, then we will do it on Lazarus Saturday instead, before the Palm folding.
Also, if you have 'borrowed' anything from the Church, then please return it before next Sunday!

COMPASS BANK Are you a current customer of Compass Bank? If so, please see Pete Stamus as soon as possible. As part of our new banking relationship with Compass, if you are also a customer, then there is a financial benefit to Sts. Peter & Paul, at no cost to yourself.

ARABIC LUNCHEON FUNDRAISER This Sunday, March 14th, there will be an Arabic luncheon to raise funds for Project Mexico. The cost is $6 per person.

LAZARUS SATURDAY STEWARDSHIP EVENT Stay following services on Lazarus Saturday (March 27, 10:00am) for our first Stewardship Event of the year! We will be folding palms, cleaning the Church, hosting a pancake breakfast, completing the Church inventory, etc. Also, there will be a special event for our children. Please plan to attend!

IT ONLY TAKES FIVE SECONDS! As you may have seen, we have recently started a recycling program in the fellowship hall. Please try to place the appropriate items in the correct bin - for example, waste food and napkins should go in the compostable bin; whereas plastic plates, cups, knives & forks should go in the everything else container. If you're not sure, then please read the signs or ask! Please do your part as we try to make the parish a better steward of the environment and please don't assume that someone else will do it for you!

PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT Our insurance company has placed restrictions on the use of our playground equipment, requiring us to establish Rules of Use. The key change is that children are not allowed to use any outdoor equipment unless they are accompanied by an adult. Please make your children aware of this requirement and if you allow them to play outside, please go with them!

PRESANCTIFIED LITURGY This Wednesday evening, following Presanctified Liturgy at 6:00pm, there will be a potluck dinner and discussion in the fellowship hall with Fr. George. Please come and join your fellow parishioners as we enter the Lenten season and celebrate these services.

Topics to be discussed:
March 17: Brian Stefanovic and Adam Lum to present on their visit to Mount Athos (slideshow and all)
March 24: Pres. Christa to present on the Icon of the Annunciation

PASCHA COOKIE BASKETS The Philoptochos is now taking orders for Pascha cookie baskets. Please see the order form on our website at:

SERVICE BOOKS & PAMPHLETS We have started compiling a selection of service books and Orthodox pamphlets on our website for people to download and print for personal use. The list of books will be steadily increasing as we progress throughout Lent, so please check back regularly. If there is a particular service book you would like to see made available, then please contact Ian as soon as possible and that one will be prioritised.

LENTEN FOOD DRIVE Philoptochos is collecting food donations for the Lenten Food Drive. Suggested items include canned/jar items such as fruits, vegetables, soups, beans, peanut butter and dry goods such as potatoes, cereal, and rice. Drop off boxes will be located in the fellowship hall.
Please remember the less fortunate this Lenten season and pick up extra items for donation during your next grocery trip. If you have any questions, please contact Sharon Dzilvelis.

TO OUR VISITORS Thank you for visiting! Please come to greet the priest and receive a piece of blessed bread (called Antidoron – meaning "in place of the gifts" in Greek) at the end of the service. You are welcome to worship with us this morning, but please be aware that unless you are a baptized and chrismated (confirmed) member of the Orthodox Church, you may not receive communion. This is the teaching of the Holy Orthodox Church. If you would like more information, please fill out the cards found in the pews or speak to any member of the Parish Council.
