Protocol 03-10 Pascha 2004
People walking in darkness,
behold a great light;
you dwelling in the land
of the shadow of death,
light will shine upon you.
Isaiah 9:2
The Devout Clergy, Monastics, and
The Faithful Members of The Holy Diocese of Denver
Beloved in the Lord,
Once again we celebrate the victorious Light of the world, the Lord Jesus Christ, Who has shattered the gloom and darkness brought about by Satan even to the depths of the earth where his former kingdom of Hades had been. The
destruction of Hades, which was then supplanted by the radiant Kingdom of Heaven by our loving God, fulfilled Christ`s mission to our fallen world.
Most people appear to be unaware of the uncreated Light, the Risen Lord. Sadly, the world, more than ever before, has fallen into darkness and despair brought about by the evil forces that are fighting their final battle. We shall
continue to see the ugliness of hatred and treachery, as those forces realize that their time is running short. They know that their end is quickly approaching.
Yet, even in the face of these last-day upheavals, we know that our Risen Lord is here and among us, giving to us the perseverance and the patience to stand against any and all enemies.
Let us, then, continue to rejoice in our Lord`s triumphant victory over the darkness of death and know that this is why He entered into His own creation. For He is the God of the living and not of the dead.
Beloved believer, Christ is risen and Life reigns now and forever. To Him be the glory and the power to the ages of ages.
XPICTOC ANECTH!
CHRIST IS RISEN!
With Paternal Blessings
in our Risen Savior,
+ Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver
