Beloved Parishioners of Holy Cross,
Christ is Risen!
During this great and glorious Paschal Season, may I offer my sincere wishes to you and your families. May your lives and homes be filled with the joy, light, and life of the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
First, I want to offer to all of you my deepest gratitude for the prayers, hospitality, and kindness shown to me during Holy Week. Each and every moment I felt a part of the Holy Cross community as we shared in faith and love during one of the most blessed times of the year. In various ways, each of you offered of the gifts given to you by God for the edification and strengthening of all members of the community. It was evident that everything that was offered was done so to bring honor and glory to God and to further the work of His Kingdom.
As we continue in worship and ministry this Paschal season, I ask all of you to deepen your commitment to God and to His Church. We will be establishing a regular Liturgy schedule, and with the blessings of His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah, I will be available for pastoral needs. With my residence in Brownwood, I am not as close as I would like to respond to the needs of the community; however, I will do my best to offer a faithful and genuine ministry to each of you. Please feel free at any time to contact me. I look forward to personal visits in your homes and to our worship and fellowship as the Body of Christ.
Our next schedule Divine Liturgy will be Sunday, April 25. Matins will begin at 9:00 am, and the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am. I will be available after the service for prayer or special visits. During the week prior to our services, I will update the web site and the Sunday bulletin. You can view this at http://www.holycross.tx.goarch.org. Please use this site as a resource to inform others about our church and about the Orthodox faith.
Again, I wish each of you a blessed Pascha, and I pray that the presence of our Risen Lord will strengthen you in His saving grace.
In the Service of our Risen Lord,
Rev. Father Nektarios Morrow
