Resurrectional Apolytikion
Let all things above in heaven rejoice and let all things below on earth be glad. With all the might and strength of His arm an eternal deed the Lord did perform. Beneath His feet He has trampled down death by death, and first born of the dead has He become. From the womb of Hades has He delivered us, and to all the world has granted His great redeeming mercy.
Apolytikion for Sunday of the 7th Ecumenical Council
Unending glory be Yours, O Christ our God, for making our holy fathers radiant lights to all the world. Through them You led us to the true faith. Compassionate Savior, glory to You.
Apolytikion of the Church
Facing danger at sea and fearful persecution, you became a chosen vessel of the Savior. With your sermons you enlightened the nations, and to the Athenians you revealed the unknown God. Teacher of the nations, St. Paul the Apostle, protector of us all: keep us who honor you safe from every trial and danger.
Kontakion
O protection of Christians unshamable, mediation before the Creator unchanging. O reject not the prayerful cries of sinners. Instead come to us for you are good. Your loving help bring unto us who are crying in faith to you. Quicken to intercession and hasten to supplication, you who protect for ever, Theotokos, those who honor you.
Apolytikion for Luke the Evangelist
O Holy Apostle and Evangelist Luke, intercede to our merciful God, that He may grant our souls forgiveness of sins. -Translation by Narthex Press
Apolytikion for Gerasimos of Cephalonia
Let us the faithful praise the divine Gerasimos, who has been newly revealed to us as a protector of the Orthodox, an angel in the flesh, and a God-bearing wonderworker. For he worthily received from God the unfailing gift of healing; he restores the ailing and heales demoniacs. Wherefore, he pours forth healings upon them that honor him. -Translation by Holy Transfiguration Monastery, Brookline, MA
Apolytikion for James the Apostle, brother of Our Lord
As the Lord's disciple, O righteous One, you received the Gospel, as Martyr, you have unwavering courage, as the Lord's brother, you have forthrightness, as Hierarch, intercession. Intercede with Christ our God, that our souls may be saved. -Translation by Narthex Press
