Resurrectional Apolytikion
O Lord, by Your sacred cross You abolished death and granted unto the thief blessed paradise. The Myrrh-bearers ceased lamenting and turned to joy. The apostles did preach the Good News at Your command that You had risen from the dead, Christ our God, bestowing Your mercy on the world evermore.

O holy Apostle Philip, intercede to our merciful God, that He grant our souls remission of sins.

Facing danger at sea and fearful persecution, you became a chosen vessel of the Savior. With your sermons you enlightened the nations, and to the Athenians you revealed the unknown God. Teacher of the nations, St. Paul the Apostle, protector of us all: keep us who honor you safe from every trial and danger.

Behold the temple of the Savior, His precious bridal chamber. Behold the virginal and sacred vessel of God's glory. Today she enters into the house of the Lord, bearing within her the grace of the Holy Spirit. For this the angels exclaim: “She is indeed the heavenly tabernacle.”

Once upon a time, two brothers who lived on adjoining farms fell into conflict. It was the first serious rift in 40 years of farming side-by-side sharing machinery, and trading labor and goods as needed, without a hitch. Then the long collaboration fell apart. It began with a small misunderstanding but grew into a major difference, finally exploding into an exchange of bitter words, followed by weeks of silence.
One morning, there was a knock on John`s door. He opened it to find a man with a carpenter`s toolbox. "I`m looking for a few days` work," he said. "Perhaps you would have a few small jobs here and there I could help with? Could I help you?"
